You may remember this lovely couple from their pre-wedding shoot that I posted recently (if not, have a look here!) These two gorgeousnesses were a bit shy of being photographed, but the camera just loves them to bits. And actually I love Laura & Alex to bits, they are two of the kindest, most thoughtful, genuinely beautiful people – and they are so loved by everyone around them. Alex owns Teddy Edwards Cutting Rooms, a very cool barbershop up at Seven Dials, and is just one of those people who knows everyone!!! And I loved that about their big day – it was all about friends, family and being with people that mean everything to you. Their Birling Manor wedding day read like a rollcall of the coolest things you could ever want at your wedding – including a teepee (gorgeously decorated), the best and most stylish campervan in Sussex (Candy at Deluxe Weddings which I love SO MUCH), free gin & tonics for everyone from amazing pop up bar ‘Gin & Bear It’(YES!!!), music provided by funky crazy cats the Still Moving DJs, free Burts crisps (in honour of their surname), picnic hampers for the wedding breakfast, eeeeeh there was just so much awesomeness.
My completely favourite part of this wedding (and believe me, it was hard to choose) was Laura & Alex’s first dance to Lionel Ritchie’s ‘My Destiny’ which to be honest has never really registered on my radar as a classic, but after hearing it belted out by 100 happy wedding guests at the top of their lungs, watching the Bride & Groom crying and laughing (at the same time), I was blown away by how loved these two very special people are. So now that song happens to be one of my very favourites. Altogether now… ‘You are my destiny… you are my one and only.. you gave that joooy to me etc etc’. Happy wedding day you scrumptious pair, you are the coolest cats in town!! xxxx
